Ice fishing has been slow as of January 15 2012.  Better fishing in the late afternoon. Bass are hitting and northerns also, Crappies are in but you gotta work at it between 3p.m. and 6 p.m. Perch have been active by the Island.  

ICE CONDITIONS (as of 15 Jan 2012): About 13 inches of ice.  Folks have been driving their 4-wheelers out on the ice on Big Marine Lake. I have been taking people out on the golf carts along with the portables to there spots and they just love it ( less work ) more time fishing
