A place for Veterans and their families to come together!

The Disabled Veterans Rest Camp is a Non-Profit resort camp dedicated to providing a peaceful retreat for America's military veterans, those men and women who are presently serving our country, and their families.  We want you to have a good time while you are camping at our facility.

Who can camp?  Each registrant MUST BE or HAVE BEEN a member of the United States Armed Forces. Verification of this status will be requested upon registration. Proof must be provided in the form of a DD-214, or other separation papers.  A membership card from any of the various congressionally chartered or duly recognized Veterans organizations (e.g. American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Disabled American Veterans (DAV), or AmVets in and of itself cannot be recognized as proof.  Any correspondence from the VA or State Department of Veterans Affairs that clearly identifies you as a Veteran will be considered.  Also, the un-remarried spouse of a deceased Veteran (whether disabled or not) is also authorized to register for camping after proof of this status has been provided to camp management.

Priority will be given to disabled veterans.  The Disabled Veterans Rest Camp also reserves the right to establish and utilize specific eligibility criteria for residents of this camp in order to comply with its Articles of Incorporation/Constitution and By-laws, registered with the Secretary Of State, but more specifically Article II of the Articles of Incorporation, and to ensure the camp is utilized in such a manner and capacity as to comply with its original scope and intent, which is to provide a low-cost camping retreat for ALL who have served or are presently serving.

Dates and Hours of Operation.  The camp is officially open from May 1 to September 30 for summer camping.  Winter camping is from January 1 through March 1.  These dates may be changed by camp management with approval from the Disabled Veterans Rest Camp Board of Directors.

Personal ConductCampers and their guests are responsible for their own conduct and camp management may, at any time and without notice, evict and/or banish any camper and/or their guest(s), if in their judgment they feel that said camper(s) and their guest(s) have infringed upon the peace, privacy, tranquility and/or safety of other campers and their guests.  Campers and their guests shall adhere to all Federal, State, and Local laws, including but not limited to the consumption and use of alcoholic beverages, possession/use/sale of illegal drugs, possession or use of firearms or dangerous weapons, fire and safety, and any and all related applicable standards.  ABSOLUTELY NO FIREWORKS are permitted within the confines of the camp.

Pets are allowed in the cabins with payment of a non-refundable fee.  Pets must be leashed.

The sponsoring veteran and all guests must have a guest identification card for use of the camp. This identification is at no charge, but for the safety and security of all visitors please register on the guest book provided either in the manager's office or the canteen. The identification cards are available upon registration.

Gray Water. Gray water must either be contained in your unit or in an authorized and approved external holding tank.  A dump station is located within the camp next to the playground and upon leaving the camp for disposal of solid waste and gray water.  Any camper that is found to be dumping gray water onto or into the ground anywhere except at the dump station shall be asked to leave the camp IMMEDIATELY.  This rule will be strictly enforced
